Hello!
My name is Trisha Hamilton. And I believe every child is a promise of a brighter future.
My husband Darin and I have called Overland Park home since 1998, raising our three children in the Blue Valley school district. We moved here in 2008, drawn by the promise of an education as exceptional as private schooling. Our son proudly graduated from BVNW in 2020, and come this fall, our eldest daughter will step into her senior year at the same school. Meanwhile, our youngest daughter is set to enter 7th grade at Oxford Middle School.
I’m running for the Blue Valley School Board because I firmly believe our children are the community’s future. It’s crucial they receive an education that prepares them to become competitive, global contributors and well-rounded custodians of our culture.
Professionally, as a Director of Business Administration, I lead the daily operations, managing the financial aspects, and HR functions of a multi-site non-profit organization that happens to be my local church. Known for fostering collaboration and implementing effective strategies, I unite staff behind the organization's missions.
Community service is dear to me. For 8 years, I’ve taught Sunday school to middle schoolers at my church. I also cherish participating in mission trips, serving both locally and abroad providing individuals with basic needs and skills to thrive.
Above all, I treasure time spent with my family – from watching K-State football in Manhattan with our son to cheering my girls on at volleyball matches. My ultimate goal is to see my children and ALL Blue Valley students, grow into exceptional leaders and responsible citizens.
I encourage you to read through the section of this site that further outlines the priorities and goals of this important role within our community.
